Overturned Tanker 11/20/08
Squad responded for Mutual Aid for East Rutherford for an Overturned Tanker on the Turnpike on November 20. We were dispatched around 3:15 PM and Rescue 4, along with the crew, spent several hours out there standing by for East Rutherford in case they would need our assistance or Rehab services.

2008 Vehicle Extrication Training
On October 27th , 29th and November 1st many members of the squad attended Vehicle Extrication Training at the Bergen County EMS Training Center. It was a really good experience for those of us who have never been through the class before and we learned a lot from it. Since we are also a Rescue Squad on top of being EMS, we all now have the skills to do what needs to be done in the case of an extrication.

Training 11/4/08
Senario Training is always a good way to help our guys see what would happen and what they would have to do in a real life situation. This particular training, we decided to supply "blood" so our members would have to actually control it and see how it is when an injury continues to bleed. We used IV bags and food coloring to supply the blood and it turned out to be a very good learning experience for them. They got a lot out of it and we were impressed with their thinking on the spot skills. Hope you enjoy the videos!
